On Campus Parking
The Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center cannot be reached by car, it is best to park in Parking Structure 2 and walk to the center of campus.

Parking Payment Options
Conference atendees have three options for parking at the conference:
  1. Use coin operated machines in structure 2 and pay $4.25 each time the vehicle enters the parking structure
  2. Pre-purchase a $5 conference parking pass with in and out parking priviledges throughout the conference; indicate this option on the conference registration form
  3. Utilize hotel parking at the Holiday Inn and ride the shuttle to and from the conference

Walking directions from Parking Structure 2 to The Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center

  • Cross Anthony Wayne Drive walking towards Atchison and Ghafari Residence Halls
  • Walk down Williams Mall (Ghafari Residence Hall will be on your right and DeRoy Apartments will be on your left).
  • Walk to the end of Williams Mall to Gullen Mall
  • The Mort Harris RFC will be diagonally to your left across from the Student Center Building

Driving Directions to Wayne State University
Lodge Freeway (M-10) from North Lodge Freeway (M-10) from South

Take the Lodge Freeway (M-10) south and exit at Warren-Forest.

Proceed to the light and make a left onto Forest to cross over the Lodge.

Proceed through two lights and turn left onto Anthony Wayne Drive.

After passing Atchison and Ghafari Residence Halls on your right, make a Michigan left into Parking Structure #2.

Take the Lodge Freeway (M-10) north and exit at Warren-Forest.

Proceed to the light and make a right onto Forest to cross over the Lodge.

Proceed through one lights and turn left onto Anthony Wayne Drive.

After passing Atchison and Ghafari Residence Halls on your right, make a Michigan left into Parking Structure #2.
I-94 (from the east) I-94 (from the west)

Take I-94 west to John R/Woodward exit (right side).

Continue on the Service Drive and cross Woodward Avenue.
Once you have crossed Woodward, you will be on Antoinette.

Take Antoinette to Cass and turn left.

Proceed on Cass to Palmer.

Proceed to Anthony Wayne Drive and veer left.

Turn right into Parking Structure #2.

Take I-94 east to southbound Lodge Freeway (M-10).

Once on the Lodge Freeway, take the first exit, Warren-Forest.

Proceed to the light and make a left onto Forest to cross over the Lodge.

Proceed through two lights and turn left onto Anthony Wayne Drive.

After passing Atchison and Ghafari Residence Halls on your right, make a Michigan left into Parking Structure #2.
I-75 (from north) I-75 (from south)

Take I-75 south and exit at Warren.

Go the light and turn right onto Warren.

Proceed to Anthony Wayne Drive and turn right.

After passing Atchison and Ghafari Residence Halls on your right, make a Michigan left into Parking Structure #2.

Take I-75 north and exit at Warren.

Go the light and turn left onto Warren.

Proceed to Anthony Wayne Drive and turn right.

After passing Atchison and Ghafari Residence Halls on your right, make a Michigan left into Parking Structure #2.
 I-96 (from the west) 

Take I-96 east to I-94 east (towards Port Huron).

Take I-94 east to Lodge Freeway (M-10) south.

Once on the Lodge Freeway, take the first exit, Warren-Forest.

Proceed to the light and make a left onto Forest to cross over the Lodge.

Proceed through two lights and turn left onto Anthony Wayne Drive.

After passing Atchison and Ghafari Residence Halls on your right, make a Michigan left into Parking Structure #2.
 
Detroit Metro Airport
The Detroit Metro Airport is conveniently located 25 minutes from Wayne State's campus.
 
If you are flying to Detroit, contact Jovita Scrogin and provide your arrival and departure times.  Travel accomodations may be available.
 
Driving Directions from DTW
Exit the airport and proceed to I-94 east.

Take I-94 east to southbound Lodge Freeway (M-10).

Once on the Lodge Freeway, take the first exit, Warren-Forest.

Proceed to the light and make a left onto Forest to cross over the Lodge.

Proceed through two lights and turn left onto Anthony Wayne Drive.

After passing Atchison and Ghafari Residence Halls on your right, make a Michigan left into Parking Structure #2.

Amtrak
The Detroit Amtrak Station is less than one mile from Wayne State's campus.
 
You can easily take a cab to campus, or contact Jovita Scrogin and provide your arrival and departure times.  Travel accomodations may be available.
 
Driving Directions from DET
Exit the station and proceed west on Baltimore street.

Turn left onto Anthony Wayne Drive/3rd Street.

After passing Parking Structure #5 on your right, turn right into Parking Structure #2.

The People Mover is an extremely easy way to travel around the midtown area. Rides are only 50¢ per ride and operate until midnight on Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Friday.
