MIRSA 2008 Workshop

Create Solutions, Conquer Obstacles

Please join us for the 2008 MIRSA State Workshop held at Wayne State University in midtown Detroit.

In this turbulent time of budget cuts and increasing minimum wage, we are all forced to make hard decisions about our programs and operation of our facilities. In order to increase the quality and quantity of our departments we must focus on creative programming and operating designs. At the 2008 MIRSA workshop you will be energized to confront the obstacles facing Campus Recreation and will be provided with ideas and solutions to your specific needs. Use this time to learn from your peers, share your successes and Create Solutions to Conquer Obstacles!

MIRSA Social
Come experience downtown Detroit!

Dinner and the social Thursday night will begin at Old Shillelagh, one of Detroit’s favorite night spots. Over a private dinner of baked chicken and baked cod, the Shillelagh’s Irish singer will teach the MIRSA members Irish gigs and ballads, encouraging us all to sing along.

After dinner you can choose to stay at the Old Shillelagh or enjoy the variety of nightlife that Detroit has to offer. Walk, take the People Mover or a taxi to Greektown Casino, the Garden Bowl or back to the Mort Harris RFC for open recreation.
