Full court, 5 v 5 Basketball league, July 8. Games start at 4 pm.  FREE to WSU students and Mort Harris RFC members.Scoreboards, referees, individual stats all provided in this 5 game season. Champions receive T-shirts and picture on Web site.Register as a team or individual.

Summer Kids' CampJune 15 - August 28, 2009 (weekly sessions available)*Parent itineraryCamp prices and descriptions:The 2009 Mort Harris Recreation & Fitness Center Kids' camps for ages 4-6 yrs. / 7-10 yrs., utilizes our state of the art facilities to provide campers with the most exciting day-camp opportunity in the Detroit area. We look forward to having your child participate in our seventh year of this quality program. Our counselors organize programs according to the individual themes of each session to maximize the camping experience. Children will improve their physical fitness levels through well-rounded instruction and playtime including rock climbing, team building, outdoor games, learning activities, art projects and more. We have worked hard to improve the quality of our program and we are proud to provide a quality program to the Wayne State and local community. Registration Registration in advance is required to ensure proper counselor-camper ratios. You must register at least one week in advance. Payment is due in full by the FRIDAY before camp begins There will be no exceptions granted. This is so we can order the correct amount of lunches, reserve the right amount of spots for field trips, ensure the proper amount of staff and have the correct amount of supplies each week for camp. Registration is on a first-come, first serve basis. We will not reserve a spot for your child without payment in full. Online registration is now available for campers signing up for all 10 weeks of camp.  Click here to register for full days of camp or here for half days.  Weekly registration can only be done in person at the MHRFC front desk. Please pick up a parent welcome-packet at the RFC front desk once you register. Please return this form to the Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center, 5210 Gullen Mall with payment to reserve a spot.Benefits Camp T-shirt Pre-planned, structured daily lesson plans Art, pool and rock climbing activities Educational activities Fitness activities Separate activities for younger and older age groups Two field trips per week (inclusive) Two snacks per day Lunch provided Positive learning environment Returning counselors - familiar faces Full and half day options After-camp care available Receive a 10% discount for every additional sibling registered Hours Drop-off: 8:15 a.m. - 9 a.m. Camp: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Pick-up: 5 - 5:30 p.m. Extended care: 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. (an additional $10 fee per day) A $25 fee will be assesed to any child being dropped off after 9 a.m. or designated time slot. Outdoor Adventure Group logo

The Outdoor Adventure Group has emerged from the passion of outdoor pursuits and zest for excitement from students and staff of the Wayne State University Community. This partnership, initiated by the WSU Wilderness Medical Society and Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center staff in 2005, the Outdoor Adventure Group provides academic learning, practical knowledge, social interaction and rushes of adrenaline through its programs and clinics. Information on the club and events may be found inside the Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center at the climbing wall or on this website.
