Student Employment
The Department of Campus Recreation employs several student assistants every semester. Hiring preference will be given to students in the following academic programs: Exercise Science, Sports Administration, Education, Nutrition, Marketing and Business Administration. All positions are required to be First Aid and CPR/AED Certified. We offer training in house , however, it is highly recommended that candidates obtain certification prior to submitting an application. Student positions include:
- Spring/Summer Exercise Science Internship
- Group Fitness Instructor (must have certification and/or minimum one year experience)
- Personal Trainer (must have degree in exercise science, kinesiology or related area or be actively working toward stated degree and ACSM, ACE, AFAA or NSCA certified)
- willing to accomodate to client schedules
- must possess strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- able to work in a fast paced, diverse environment
