Membership

The student service fee (billed with tuition) gives students access to Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center; students may utilize the building's amenities by swiping their Onecard at the lobby's turnstiles. Wayne State faculty and staff, alumni, employees of partnered organizations, and community members must pay for a membership to access the building's amenities. For more information, find the section below that applies to you. 

Register and pay online or download the appropriate Membership Forms and return them, with payment, to the Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center front desk; you need not do both.


Students

Students enrolled in the previous winter semester may print out their schedule from Academica and purchase a spring/summer membership for $35.

Faculty and Staff

Faculty and staff can become members of Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center by paying the membership fee in full, drafting a fraction of the total fee from each paycheck they receive, or drafting the fee directly from their Waye State connected bank account. Payroll deduction is not available for employee spouses or retirees.

Full time, part-time and temporary faculty and staff that are taking Wayne State classes must purchase a membership.

All memberships must be paid in full for 9 or 12 month period prior to membership cancellation. No refund will be given before the selected membership term has expired. I understand that my membership is a minimum of 12 months and this authority will remain in effect after a period of 12 months unless I cancel in writing. Memberships cancel within 30 days of notification.
